Sony presenta Playstation 3

La máquina se controlará con mandos inalámbricos vía Bluetooth, con soporte para hasta 7 mandos.

Utilizará el procesador Cell a 3,2 GHz y será capaz de operar a 2,18 teraflops. Tendrá, además, multitud de ranuras para diferentes soportes: 6 puertos USB 2.0 (cuatro delante, dos detrás), Memory Stick Duo, puerto para tarjetas Secure Digital (SD), puerto para tarjetas Compact Flash y un puerto Ethernet.

En cuanto a juegos, un nuevo Grand Theft Auto estará disponible para su lanzamiento.

Chip gráfico de la máquina: Nvidia Reality Synthesizer, resolución en Alta Definición con más de 300 millones de transistores.

La consola contará con un disco duro de 160 Gb extraíble.
